Hello. I've been trying to figure out for quite a while now a program that will open PVZ files- the image files in Puyo Puyo Fever PC edition and Puyo Puyo Carnival (the free 15th anniversary game for PC on Sega's site). If these are edited, along with sound files and text, you can create your own character packs. I know of several. However, I've been through many sites, English and Japanese, looking, and can't find a single program that can open PVZ files, which are the files that contain the sprites and other images. Obviously it can be done, as people HAVE done it, and every file can be opened somehow, but I'm at my wit's end. I've tried a few sprite programs to no avail.
Here's all the info I've gathered thus far, if it helps:
* http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f244/Omegachan/temp/up0014.png A screencap implying you can open them in Pictbear; however I have this program and no, you can't, not as it is anyway; I've failed to find a plugin to make it open them, as well.
* http://tuu.tuzikaze.com/puyo/sasikae1.htm (Japanese) A guide on easing the process of installing new characters- However, doesn't explain, once again, how you make and edit these mysterious PVZs.
* http://tuu.tuzikaze.com/tool/puyotool.htm (Japanese) Another page on the same site above- hacked characters to add. Grab a couple of these for examples of opening.
* http://puyopuyofever.hp.infoseek.co.jp/ (Japanese) Huge Puyo Puyo Fever Mod Site in Japanese- once again, no tools that I can see, though there are a couple custom-made character packs and such.
Carnival Edition was free on Sega's site but I don't see it there anymore; regardless, the URL to that was: http://puyo15.jp/home/ I can upload the game on my server if anybody wants to see; it WAS free, after all, and still is. It's more or less a free, reduced-function version of Fever.
Thank you for any help you can give; I appreciate it greatly.
