I decompressed the rom with ndstool, but all I got was a bunch of NARC / ARC files. What are they exactly? Any way to open them?

I'm adequate in rom hacking, it's just I don't understand WHAT to translate. Has anyone else partially / completely translated a DS game?

The files can be in any format the programmer wanted them to be in. We aren't dealing with an operating system here.

I also got AAR files. (With, I think, Jump Ultimate Stars)


That's the reason why you'd need to go through it using a hex editor and making a table for it, correct?
