OK , i know I'm completely new to this but i was wondering, If anyone has developed any 2 or more player Zelda 3 : Link To The Past.

If not here is my kinda challenge thingy Smiley. I wanna know if anyone can edit Zelda 3 to make it so you can net play it on Zsnes with 2-4 (maybe more players). MY idea of thinking of how it'd work with more than one player is the following:

- Link colours, all different links will choose their colour suit for beginning the game like "Super Bomberman 2" where before  beginning a multiplayer game a player can press select to change colour. I know this is cause confusion for the new armour stuff but i was thingin of having the hats show the armour level aka  ,Green = lvl 1, Yellow = lvl 2 , Red = level 3.

- Moving around, OK this may seem chaotic but my idea is if one of the players moves area then everyone is jumped the that person on the next screen. I know this happens on another snes game but right now i forget the title.

- Names , Have you name above the character if possible this isn't important but would be nice Smiley.

- Treasure , in game if someone picks up an item of treasure aka , a key , bow , arrows . Then everyone gains that item , when someone runs out of bombs everyone looses that item. This includes Rupees

- Dieing ,
Idea 1)              OK its now multiplayer so we have  to think about bottles everyone can use any of the 4 bottles in the inventory  but once used its used so if potion goes they all lose it , When the fairies all have been used (even if by one player has used them all) people die on screen and lay down , if everyone dies then the game over screen appears and then you continue from the dungeon entrance.

Idea 2)              Pretty much the same idea as 1 but instead everyone shares hearts so when you all loose if someone gets too careless . this might add difficulty to the game Smiley.

- Saving / Loading ,  using the sharing method you only need to save to the hosting comp and load.

If anyone has any ideas in which it might make it work more effectively add a comment I'll edit and give credit ^^ .

Anyone who can do this is a genius and should be made a god lol Tongue

-.- sorry can't attach ROM it gets me in lot of trouble   :police:  i do actually have a genuine snes and Link to the past  .. even if the dam power cable is dodgy lol  Tongue .  but the ideas a challenge and i dunno if its allowed but its basicily what i wanted four swords to be when they realeased it on GBA

You can email me on Rileyb80@hotmail.com

Thank you for Reading, Sorry for the end rant.

So like Super Famicom Four Swords? I don't know the specifics but it doesn't seem real possible for the system, I mean would everyone have to stay on the same screen? would you all have to push at the screen at the same time of would there be one lead player.

It might be more feasable to mess with the full BS version of ALttP, not the other BS  side games but just plain BS ALttP and maybe use the network ability so that instead of trying to run it all on one machine, find a way to link multiple machines, then again now that I look at what I've said that actually seems LESS feasable. Hmm... It would be cool though.

I'm not saying that nintendo ever did netplay over the BS, no, but they did transfer information over the thing, so it might be possible to utilize that... I'm over my head, anyone with tech savvy in this, can you shed some light?

^^ one person changes screen everyones one does thus everyone else is warped to the player who entered the new location

Dude, I only hacked Zelda 3 with Hyrule Magic and it was still a pain! And I all hacked was dungeons and their items/monsters placement! (And certain walls and stuff).

It's not easy... You're better off recreating (LMAOROFL) the game using GameMaker or any of the available game-creation programs (or using actual coding languages) and add the stuff you wanna add to it.

Plus, my only real understanding of romhacking is this: rearrangement programming.

Well, you can try GameMaker... In my opinion, you'll have space enough to recreate SNES classic with everything you want to do on it. The problem is getting it to be the level of quality it is. Tongue

Not to mention, I've been turned off of smileys for awhile. 29 of the little suckers on one page!
