Changing clothes gives you an advantage depending on the terrain. If you hit Y when it's your turn, you can look at the different tiles. Some make your time gauge fill faster, and there are usually a few recovery tiles hidden around.
All the tiles have the speed marks (more >> is faster), and then something else:
回復します
Recover
冬副 向き
Suitable for winter clothes
夏服 向き
Suitable for summer clothes
水着 向き
Suitable for swimsuits
体操着 向き
Suitable for gym clothes
コート 向き
Suitable for coats
通れません
Can't walk here

So, I've started making a list of all the kanji, and I'm about a third of the way through. I've found maybe six or seven kanji that have duplicates somewhere in the file. Is that normal, or am I misreading them?

Probably number 2. A lot of kanji look similar. 土 ("tsuchi", "earth/ground") and 士 ("shi", not used on its own but is usually a suffix in words meaning "soldier/warrior") would be good examples. (Note the proportions of the horizontal strokes.)

Right, I've managed to find 610 of 622 kanji in Nage Libre. Anyone have any idea what these last twelve are?  I'm figuring having a big list of all the kanji will help, even if I can't figure out how to script dump the bloody thing. |

A few of those kanji are actually pretty common, like "baku", "metsu" (to me, anyhow), the "tou" name kanji, "shiawase" and "ki", meaning "machine".
JWPce is a freeware word processor with a built-in Japanese IME and dictionary, as well as a kick-ass take-names kanji lookup utility. Made my Big Blue Book (The New Nelson Japanese-English Character Dictionary) pretty much obsolete, sad to say...

I do use JWPce, and I adore it. Unfortunately, I'm rubbish at looking up kanji. Took me about two days of work to find all of the ones I could get on my own.

I'm pretty sure I'm right on this one. There's a pixel for the right-hand stroke of the variant "heart" radical on the left. That wouldn't be there if it were the variant "person" radical.

To be fair, it is a pretty gross-looking font. I really think the radical looks more like the person radical to me. At any rate, any inconsistencies in the kanji table should become clear with a script dump.  |

I'm afraid if you're waiting on a script dump to figure out which kanji it actually is, it could be a while. Even with all the kana and kanji typed up, I'm having zero success with relative searching.
