Hey I'm trying to change the graphics of street fighter 2' special champion edition (sega genesis) but for some reason TLP can't read the ROM. Is there a reason or do I just need to find a different site w/ the same ROM?

TLP can read Genesis files, that much is for sure. Is it .bin or .gen? If the rom won't open at all, it's most likely the rom itself that has issues, and you should try another.

Or, is it that you can't find the rom in TLP? In that case, try changing the file-format to "All Files".

It could be that the rom is also still interleaved (probably an .smd extension then) and then no graphics would show up at all. If this is the case, you'll want to de-interleave it (the tools here are rather....old). Give this a try and see what happens.

It's possible thtaa it's a .smd file and was just renamed.

Someone may have decided to change the file extension from .smd to .bin. It happens way to frequently on Genesis roms.

You just need a deinterleaved rom, provided the graphics you want to change aren't compressed.

You my friend have a rom with compressed g/f good look editing even most pro rom hacker stay way from compress roms. Go if the snes game it's highly unlikly thatts compressed and if it is your screed unless you want to take the time to find out how to crack sf2's compression.

It's said that  their no general program for decompressing game art. I got screed out of a project that way.
