There is no magical "one-click" extractor.

The closest you can get is a tile editor.

D's program "FEIDIAN" (http://feidian.sourceforge.net, read the manual for installation) can convert NES ROM graphics to Windows bitmap files. You'll first have to use a tile editor to find out the addresses in the ROM where they start and end.

But you'll have to color them the right colors yourself. It's impossible to tell what the right colors are, on most 2D consloes because they usually store their graphics as 1,2,4 or 16-color graphics. But they use a palette to define what those colors actually are. And the palette doesn't get defined until the game is running.

You can use tile layer pro but you have to have the graphics you want to export to *.bmp files already pasted into a blank rom or you can do it from the rom that you want to take them out of the only bad thing is that the color's want look very good because tlp uses the defalt colors of what console you are using once you have the graphic you wont to make into a bmp select it in the rom with the left click held then let go of it and goto the edit menu and click export bmp it will ask you where to save it click okay and only the selected image will be in the new bmp.  thats where bug's came from. If you won't better color you will have to try something else but with some roms you can get lucky.

Yes when hacking graphics yychr is much better then tlp however i allways end up using both of them.
I use yychr mostly to rip out and insert graphics and if i need to change the graphics I use tlp then insert them with yychr,
This can save you lots of time and you can rip graphics with it too and make bmps but you have to copy the graphic to the
clipboard and open windows paint and paste it in there then save it as an bmp with windows xp you can save it as a *.jpg too.

JPG is not lossless though. And has no palette.
