Hey I'm trying to figure out how to change the graffix on Street fighters alpha 2. the problem is I think that they are compressed. Is there some way to decompress these graffix I don't know a whole lot about compression. I read all the tutorials on compression . It's not making sense. so my main question is. Is there anyone who has already decompressed this game? Is There a utility that will do it for me? If not how do you decompress things?
(the graffix editor I have it TLP)

You just humiliated yourself for using "graffix" not one, but three times... Seriously... cut it out...

If you're a beginner and don't grasp the theory yet, it might be good to first get familiar with hex and everything. Pretty much, you need to either figure the comp out by hand (you can do it... it's not *that* hard) or get used to asm and figure it out that way.

Didn't it take the ZSNES team something like four years to crack this chip to begin with? Tongue

I remember it took them a long time to get the game emulated.

I think it was 2-3. And it wasn't even the ZSNES team, it was Andreas Naive. Also the person who finally discovered the last missing piece to bit-perfect DSP-1 emulation. He's very talented.

At least it's not like the SPC7110. Most aren't interested thanks to the graphics packs that are "good enough", the rest of us (me an Andreas, really) don't have the hardware necessary to work on it. Sigh.
