I don't know what it is, but NES games just don't interest me as far as hacking goes, and I have no idea how to hack SNES, or GB games, so I figured it would be interesting to hack a PSX game. So basically, what are some PSX games that you would like to see translated? Before you request a game though, make sure it hasn't already been translated or is being worked on, and also know that there's no gaurantee I'll actually be able to figure out how to decompress the text.
SRW games are not up for request.

Weren't you working on Policenauts? Not really, gave up because I couldn't find how to decompress the text for my life. It's also got a complicated movie compression. Plus, I figure JunkerHQ is already doing it, and has gotten much farther than me, that it just isn't worth my time. Is anyone working on the PSX version of Black Matrix?

It's not, I'm simply looking for a PSX game to hack, and of course I don't want to hack any games that no ones interested in. I myself don't know of any good PSX games that I would be interested in hacking, so I'm looking for requests. Note, I'm only requesting PSX games. Once I find a game I'm interested in, and figure out the text scheme, this topic will have no purpose, until then though... I guess it's up to what happens. I'm actually interested in hacking the Black Matrix games, but I fear there's some reason it hasn't been hacked yet(Wild compression scheme people?).

Considering there is a team working on Black/Matrix OO here, it's probably a good idea to try and get Black/Matrix Cross translated too, being the original game of the serie. It also got a fair number of votes in the "very shitty idea" thread so it seems like there are people interested in it too.
edit : ah...didn't notice you edited your post^^;"";

No wild compression scheme at all. Instead of standing there doing nothing, why don't you come and help us with the community project? We're working on a Black Matrix game.

Well, considering you guys are doing BM 00, I could do Black Matrix Cross if I could figure out how to decompress the text, and find the game. I know nothing about PSX ASM though. Finding a translator will be a bother too.

Alright, I'll do it. Is it okay if I try some of the tools you guys are using for Black Matrix 00 though? Also, is it compressed or uncompressed? If it's compressed, it won't take more than getting an SJIS table to view the text, and dump it.

Everything we use so far is public domain (and I don't see that changing). Go ahead.

Cool, oh yeah, and one more thing, if someone has the ISO for the game, could they send it to me through PM?

Just one note on B/M Cross: I'm not sure about other emulators (haven't tried it yet), but it seems to have input issues in ePSXe. B/M OO seems to be fine though.
In B/M Cross's case, it will eventually read the input if you hold down the button long enough (seems to be some delay in how often it polls for input or something). I don't know if there's any other plugins at the moment or alternate settings that will resolve the issue, but thought I'd mention it as something to be prepared for, in case it happens in other emulators as well.
