I'd set up a repository, but my host's server is on a residential line, so it wouldn't be able to withstand a lot of bandwidth.

Well, there are maybe 20 files in the end which will be downloaded by propably not more than 10 people once, so I don't think bandwidth is much of a concern here.

Hmm... Okay, everyone who would need access to a repository, please PM me with a username you'd like to use so I can set you up with ssh access to th'repository. You'd need to ssh in in order to change your password, but you can use PuTTY for that. EDIT: Repository set up; it can be viewed on the web [not that it matters right now, since there's nothing there] via http://aerdan.is-from.us/~bzr/blackmatrix00 . People will need to have bazaar installed and optionally a GUI client that has sftp support. Again, please PM me with a username. Passwords will be 'changeme' until and unless you ssh in and run 'passwd' to update it.

20 in the end?  That'd be quite a grave underestimation IMO.  ;p

I have a question, when the VFS dumping program gets done? May I use it for Black Matrix Cross? It's just that I have no programming knowledge.

It is my understanding that everything done for the community project(s) will eventually be public domain in some way, shape, or form.
Might I suggest, however, that you spend some time gaining programming skills and knowledge before progressing too far? Someone else's tools will only get you to a certain point.

I highly doubt they work on BM Cross anyway.

Ok, DAT extractor/builder complete. You can download it from here (altervista doesn't allow direct linking, so paste that link in the address bar and go for it). If you can't use it for some reason, it's probably because you don't have mfc dlls. Sorry, but I couldn't create any static linked exe, so you'll have to download what's missing from google.

Cool, I got the program running, but I don't understand what they want you to in the output directory. For instance, I did this: datex.exe -e <SOUND.DAT> <Black Matrix>
It says something like "< wasn't expected".

							1) Remove brackets; 2) Forget about using it on Black Matrix Cross...

Funny thing is, is that it actually works with Cross.

Considering how Cross is structured, that's won't be a great help.

Would you like me to mirror this? I'm not quite sure what kind of arrangement we need for storage of files and such, but I'd be happy to set up some space on yuudachi.net for this project.

Would you like me to mirror this? It'd be lovely. Altervista is not the best place for uploading external links, so do it if is possible.

It's always possible, if unlikely, that the source could be modified to work with BM Cross. Wouldn't you agree?
