This is kind of weird, but cool at the same time.

I was looking through Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga (for the GBA) in a hex editor. And I noticed two strange things:

The text is all in ASCII so you don't even need a table file.
There is both French, and German text in the game (I assume the full game text).

Since I don't see any options to change the language anywhere in the game, if it hasn't been released in French or German it would be fairly easy to translate, since the text is already translated for you.

Not sure if the European release had them, but NoA seems to hate multilingual versions for some reason.
We had to wait two months so N0A could remove/disable the non-English text in Zelda- the Minish Cap (and add 2005 to the title screen! Tongue).
I believe the PAL version of Paper Mario had multiple languages.

(or maybe so they could have something to sell post-Christmas.)

I've noticed that most english text in GBA games are in ASCII, and don't need a table file also.

Many games are multilingual, but they disable language access on purpose for some damn reason.

I was translating Zone of the Enders: The Fist of Mars a while back and it had French and German text hidden inside. The only difference between the US and European version is that the Euro version has a language select menu.

Really damn stupid if you ask me.

Well I guess that would be good if you were translating into some other language, all that extra space!
