I just now STARTED rom hacking... and well, I wanna hack pokemon emerald. I have the actual GBA game so it's all good.

The only problem is, I don't know where to start.


I want to do things like edit sprites, tiles, people's location on the map, events... how do you edit all these?

Also I know some of that is fairly advanced... so... let's just start at step one. What tools will I need and where do I get them?
