Paladin Quest. Good gods. This thing need a menu font hack BADLY. You can't even buy a knife, just a Kn. And what the hell is a Lth H? Okay, it's leather, but I can wear it on my hand.. or my foot.. or my head. Ten kinds of messed up. The thing's in English so there's no translation to be done, just someone to go in there, hack up a better font, and change the names of stuff (I'll do the text changes myself if someone dumps a list of the menu text).

..and if anyone's interested in translating the sequel (Lennus II) well that'd be awesome too, but I'd settle for getting this quirky little thing into something remotely resembling adequate.

It's not playable anyway. That was the problem. The Lennus 2 translation is full of bugs and important non dialog parts that aren't done. A few of us have looked at it to potentially pick up and finish, but the project is a mess and nobody seems to want the job, myself included.

One thing I've learned over the years is that generally as great as it sounds to pick up somebody else's project and work, it's generally more trouble and work than doing it yourself from scratch. This is especially true for unorganized projects which being that we do this as a hobby, most of them are. Wink

However, the project work is certainly good to use as reference material. I wonder if anybody will ever finish Lennus 2.

Which Meitantei Holmes are we talking? As in, the genuine Holmes, or a Sherlock Hound game?

A genuine Holmes game. NES. satsu gave me the files over a year ago but I picked at them and couldn't figure out the pointers.
