Inspired by Bongo's leaving thread, here is a thread where we can dump old project stuff for games that we just aren't interested in any more, don't have the time to do, etc.

As translation is my specialty, I can't offer much more than a few sparse notes and table files, but maybe it'll be of use to someone. (Hopefully we can get some more stuff than just tables in here.)

TAO - Creepy weird NES RPG thing
Japanese table file
Brief notes on substrings and character portrait control codes

Fuurai no Shiren GB2 - Sequel to the Gameboy FnS
Japanese table file

I was mostly hoping to put up the table/stuff I had figured out for a disturbingly cute game for the snes that GoodSNES calls Gokinjo Bouken Tai, but it seems to be lost to the aether now along with a lot of stuff. Sad

I might be interested in looking more into Gokinjo Bouken if anyone wants to translate.
I'm sure I've got a table file, and I did a little research on the text data.

Finally, I can reply!

satsu, whatever happened to that Windows game you were translating? The one where Audigy got her octopus icon? It was some sort of platformer. You showed progress on that and then you wiped your site (as usual), before I could find out what game it was.

Kamu Tako. I got permission from the author to do it and he said he would help with modifying it if necessary, but I've been a bit stalled on it for a while because my little brain sucks at puzzles.

Ah, since you just wiped all comments on it I figured you quit working on it.

(I actually want the little fox portrait used in dialogues. Tongue)

I'm an advocate for people taking up older projects and finishing them, but please don't bump like that. It's not really appreciated here.

It's a bump to save it from board pruning - chill.

That is not dead which can eternal lie,
And with strange aeons, even death may die.

Any projects of mine which haven't been updated in a while are not dead. They've either just been taken care of by somebody else, or are waiting for the right moment to pounce upon reality and devour your brain.

No mention of RHDN's Abandoned Projects page?

exactly. this thread didn't need a bump, it needed someone to submit the files. Tongue

but i think technically only Tao could be submitted. i believe that one of the rules is that we're not a table archive site, so without notes, Fuurai no Shiren doesn't quite make the critera.

I don't think even Tao fits in the Abandoned Projects page... Nothing there you couldn't work out within a minute of making the table.
