hey hi!
Well, I was trying to do something with mario world (my first time) and saw that the graphic files are .bin files, is there a program to change the .bin file into other extension such as gifs or something? or something to open them?, thanx in advance and sorry if this sounds so noobish for somes xD

You'll need a graphics editor. I recommend Tile Layer Pro for beginners and Tile Molester once you have some experience.

As for Mario World...you mean Super Mario World, right? In that case, you shouldn't be dealing with "graphic files" at all. The entire game, code, resources and all, should all be wrapped up into a single file with an extension like ".smc" or ".sfc". The acid test of whether you have the right file or not is simply to load the game into an emulator (ZSNES, BSNES, SNES9x, take your pick...) and see if it's really Super Mario World. Never heard of a SNES ROM with a .bin extension...

Note: Some programs (game specific) decompresses the graphics in the original rom and tacks them into an external .bin-file (or any other format) to be edited, as is the case with Ycompress that can be used to edit the graphics in SMW2: Yoshis Island. Once you're done editing them, the program compresses them again and inserts them back into the rom.

Although you still can/should use TLP or Tile Molester for the actual editing part.

Edit: That came out rather vague. Anyway, having graphics in external files aren't always a bad thing, but if you ended up with them from the very beginning without actually doing much, then something probably went wrong somewhere.

Most tile editors will see a .bin extension and stupidly assume it's a Genesis ROM, since .bin is commonly used for Genesis ROMs without any copier information. You'll need to tell your tile editor to view it in SNES 4BPP mode (Or 3BPP Mode, I think that's what SMW uses, not 100% sure since I've only worked with it once or twice).
