I'm new at this. I've seen on a couple other posts about people asking for this or that Rom translated, but no time to learn.

Well, I've got plenty of time to learn, and any assistance would be much appreciated. I have several Japanese Roms I'd like to work up a translation ips patch for and I would like someone, or guide, to show me how this is done.

Here are a few I'd like to translate:

Full Metal Alchemist
Shin Megami Tensei
Tales of the World: Narikiri Dungeon 2
Tales of the World: Narikiri Dungeon 3
Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon
YuGiOh - Dark Duel Stories
Shin Kisekae Monogatari

Of course...if anyone possesses complete ips' for any of these, I'd gratefully accept those as well. *smiles*

As for guides, I need to learn for just about any of these systems. (GBA, GB, Game Gear, Snes, N64, Nes, Genesis)

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help me out.

For Shin Megami Tensei SNES, Aeon Genesis released an excellent translation patch already.  http://agtp.romhack.net/ , check under current projects.
I can't say I've seen any of the others at all.

All the projects he mentioned are GBA games, as far as I can tell.

Sure! I mean, why wouldn't someone want to just hand over hours-upon-hours of work to someone else  to take credit for it?

I never said I'd take credit for it, I meant I'd accept those so I could patch my games to play, why would I care to take credit for something I didn't do?

Your first post seemed to suggest you wanted someone to give you the patches and so you could release them yourself. If that's not what you meant, I apologize.

If you need help with asm or something like that maybe we could help, but you make it sound like you haven't done any hacking at all. If that's the case then read and learn the basics first before asking. It's like asking someone to teach you how to be a major league baseball player and you never swung a bat in your life. We all have our own projects. A baby learns how to crawl on it's own and then it is helped to walk. Alright enough of the metaphors you get the point. No one is going to do the work for you.
