Was there ever any further progress on this? I wonder if anything could be used from
http://home.comcast.net/~heavyweights/games/drac/index.htm? A collaboration perhaps?

You do realize Konami's (finally) bringing it stateside, right?

Yeah, but who has one of those stupid PSP's? I'd rather play on a TV.

I do and besides I probably won't buy this game when it comes out. I believe it's been redesigned with a 3D facelift or something similar. I'd rather just play the original.

It includes the remake as well as the original version. They even threw in Castlevania: SotN as a bonus.

You can play PSP games on your TV with the new PSP redesign.

Of course, you need a HDTV first, but you can play on a TV now!

Hmm, didn't know that, but yeah, I'd rather play the original anyway. That collection does sound pretty cool though. Wish it would come out on Wii (or Xbox 1 or PS2 or GameCube, which I know would never happen) or DS. Don't think I'm ever gonna get a 360, PS3 or PSP, unless I find them for super super under $100 cheap.

It would be quite a simple matter to completely replace the original voice work in the PCE-CD original with the English tracks from the PSP release, if they were ripped to WAV (which, I suspect, is a foregone conclusion). The utility to extract and replace PC Engine ADPCM does exist.  Not exactly user-friendly, but it does indeed exist.  I vaguely entertained the notion of tinkering with this myself, but I haven't remotely that level of patience.

Well, now that the PSP release is out, how about it?
