hello guys, i almost finished the translation of tag force 6, but as u can see i got blocked by the size limit, and i need help in that, has anyone any idea where the size register is stored, i mean in wich file ? eboot.bin ? data.bin ? please help me, thank you PS: and please do not suggest the pointers and strings solutions because i know them and i respected them, but the freezes still, and it isn't a font problem either, because i made it out by shrinking some unecessary files, and it worked, but for card descriptions and other important stuff, i can shrink any or delete any again thank you

Well, if you talk about eboot, I believe you are talking about PSP. I am not really much experienced in PSP hacking but I would say there is none. If you are talking about a file that is bigger than as the original in the iso, just extract /exchange the file and rebuild the iso with UMDgen.

I gotta ask: how are you handling the translation? Are you doing a full text translation, or just the minimum necessary to make it playable in English? Also: card names/descriptions. Are you pulling those from the official English version, or are you making up your own translations?

@Auryn: none is working, the game stores the max size of the EHPs in some file, idk where that is :/ @Ryusui: im making translation of a yu-gi-oh! game, wich means that im bringing text from a well known source, yu-gi-oh wikia

Good, good. Yu-Gi-Oh! Wikia is pretty reliable. You're going by the official English names when possible, though, right? Yes, I don't agree with some of the changes, but a lot of the names are pretty good nowadays - like Odin, Father of the Aesir or Number 39: Utopia - and I'd advocate consistency over strict accuracy, especially given that the translations given sometimes differ from the official English names on nit-picky details (æ°·çµç•Œ translates just fine as "Ice Barrier").

It seems as you suggest that you're dealing with lba problems because you're making a file bigger than the original and you're not updating the lba, my guess

If it's LBA issues, just make sure when repacking the iso with UMDgen you've got a generated list of the original isos's LBAs, so that after you perform your file replacements, you can use UMDgen's command to force the new LBAs to be identical to the old ones, that should get it working, not sure on what it does behind the scenes though so be careful

Then it's a size on the header (or somewhere) inside your file but without see what you did, we can't really tell you much more.
