Found some extensive things for the hack of MLF for the Sega Genesis, however a very small roadblock is making me  :banghead:

Even if i edit 1 small text based thing the game will not load.  I've downloaded the Genesis Fix CheckSum and it runs and says it fixes it, but it still wont load.  I am indeed editing a bin file.  Not sure what else to try as my experience has always been in NES hacking.  Any ideas?

They most likely hard-coded the "correct" checksum value in the game.
Knowing a lot of Genesis games did that, and it was also common to find "Master Codes" to allow Game Genie to get around that, I just google "Mutant League Football Game Genie codes" and find
Quote
1. R19T-86VA - Master cod, must be entered
Use a Genie Genie decoder to find out the corresponding ROM address/value and hack that.

Found the word "TEST" at xF1FB6.  This could get very interesting!  Tecmo Super Bowl has been found to have had penalties coded into the game that didn't make the final cut, what mummy will I possibly unearth  Cheesy
