Not sure why this is happening. Damn sprite, I want it to go behind the text box.

Maybe it's not a sprite and just background tiles that are defined after the text box?
It's not likely, but it's still a possibility...

Well, the text box shows up fine in the PPU and the graphics in the way don't.

That man looks like he wants to turn into The Incredible Hulk, but can only manage it about half-way.

Could the sprite priority of the random guy be set to be in front of the background tiles of the dialog box?
