Hello.

I've dived into this part of the forum in hopes of finding a willing translator to recruit for a translation project which has already progressed quite far. The game is part of a certain well-known RPG franchise. We were progressing well up until one of our two translators developed severe personal troubles and our second translator lacks any free time to do anything. We don't want to see our project die, especially when all hackers, programmers, editors, minor translators etc. are all on-board and attempting to do as much as possible within their role in the project.

The request is simple: We need a translator.

You're probably thinking "hang on, you've not even told us what the game is..." but this is only because I don't want to advertise the project to the community and get into that whole "release date release date release date... hiatus" cycle that happens to so many patches. If you're interested in joining our team as a translator, please do PM me and I'll fill you in with the details of the project. The name, the game and the aim.

Thank you all for reading.

I sent you a pm about this yesterday; I mentioned google translate in it, so I don't know if I'm the one you're talking about in your edit? I think there may have been a miscommunication.

I understand your problem with the release date (just ignore those messages/user) but I think you can't get around telling about the game...a translator if maybe willing to help you on a final fantasy but not on a pokemon game.

I might do it depending on the game.

I don't understand how can people offer themselves to translate a game... with google translator.

Obviously anyone can use google translator. When someone asks for a translator, they are looking for people who actually know the language in question...

*I* don't understand how people can expect others to translate a game, without telling people what it is or offering any sort of show of progress and competency. Not saying that this project lacks either, but the poster's offering a distinct lack of info.

From what I could see, this looks indeed like a serious project. I know a translator who could help it to be completed. I'll talk to Vash about this.
