I have created the tbl file for Banana Prince (japanese version) and I can't view the text because the programs I use don't recognize the japanese characters.
My question is: what program support japanese tbl characters insertion or recognition?
Thanks.

WindHex can view it if the table is saved in Shift-JIS format (though you'll have to click the "View Text as Unicode" option in the menus).

I don't know of any hex editor that supports inserting Japanese text.

Windex can insert tbl file with japanese characters then recognize them (for example when you want to translate a game; from japanese to english)?

It doesn't insert it but tt can display a tbl file with Japanese characters in it.

As KingMike said, you will need to create a table file in Shift-JIS format first.  You can also use a program like JWPce and create a .sjs file in there.  WindHex can then load up the .sjs file and display the characters inside of it.

As an example, create a .sjs file in JWPce.  Load your project into WindHex, choose File followed by Open Table File, and then select either Table #1 or Table #2.  Find the .sjs file created in JWPce and select Open.  The last thing you will need to do is to click the Option menu and choose "View Text Data as Unicode" (or just push Ctrl+D).

You should now be able to se the Japanese characters in WindHex.

"Open Table File" doesn't exist in version 16.0 SR-8.
What can I do?

WindHex, not WinHex.  No idea how WinHex works.

At least my greatest experiment is working
Thanks MegamanX  Grin
By the way the table files I can create them with Notepad++ then save them to tbl extension or some table creator.
