Hello. Maybe someone here could help me with something...

I'm looking for a text hack for the Sega Genesis game, 'Warsong', released in the US. The patch was from around about 2001, and was made by a person who went by the name of 'D'.

Does anyone know where I can find a copy of it?

He also goes by D-Boy or his real name, Derrick Sobodash.

His address is www dot cinnamonpirate dot com. But he site's down for reconstruction. So, maybe archive.org would turn up something?
Either that or google.

Here is the patch that D gave me himself. You can get it here -     http://uploadmirrors.com/download/1HCK19ZC/war2lang.zip

KingMike: D told me to tell you that cinnamonpirate.com is gone and that he won't be bringing any of the old content back when he makes a new site. He says that he's working in other areas now. The domain is only being redirected to keep an email account active.

What all does that patch do? The readme is a bit vague, especially for someone not familiar with Langrisser/Warsong.

It mainly changes the character's names and places to be a more accurate translation.

Oh. If it's a translation, it could probably be added to our site so it doesn't get lost again. If it's a hack, it the author suggest it's incomplete and thus would not meet guidelines to be added. I just hate to see things get lost if they don't have to.

I don't know if you'd call it a translation, because I believe he said he didn't re-translate the game, just inserted the original Langrisser place/character names into the existing translation.
I suppose it would be a complete hack if the only goal was to replace the names, for consistency with other games?
