Sorta. Would anyone care to try shrink the below font (just the ABCs) down as much as possible. I really want to use this font for Gundam F91's menus but I don't have enough screen space for some of the longer weapon names. If I can get this shrunk down enough where it's feasible, I'm considering VWF-ing the 8x8 text screens. There's not many of them and I'm almost certain I have the VRAM space to pull it off easily. So, yeah. Thanks for the help.

Since I was bored I gave it a try. I tried to make every letter 4 pixel in width but got some serious problems when it came to "m"  Roll Eyes Its not great but I want to show it at least:

does anyone know the actual name of this font? it's used for loads of the Digimon WS/WSC games and I've seen it used randomly on company logos but I can't seem to find it anywhere Sad

I think its called "JACKIE". The TTF file of it is called "JACKIE__.TTF". You can find it here: http://www.maxmia.net/truebeliever/Fonts/J/

The original is called Westminster, but there are a zillion knockoffs.

I always wondered what it was, thanks Cheesy I think the Jackie one is closer to the Digimon games, but yeah I always kept seeing it pop up and it pissed me off that I was never able to find it Tongue

I like it.

EDIT: Here's a mock-up of a potential VWF (and two line names hack) using that font:

Original Japanese:

I'm not sure what to do. I have 6 tiles to work with and most of the weapon names are longer than 6 letters.

EDIT 2: Another possible option:

Both look nice. I'd say either use the VWF for the weapon names only, or use it everywhere - it'd look really nice on both sides.

I like the VWF for weapon names only look. I'd keep the other stats normal size for easier readability.
Can't the red guy move over a tile, giving you 8 tiles wide?
