Well after reading quit a few quides, I now understand how to hex edit and how hexadecimal works, and have tried following a particular guide made by tony hedstrom ,about how to find values in game for par codes using gens hacking version.

 After several, and I mean several, tries I am still unable to come up with what I'm looking for. I was trying to find item stats but have had zero luck. The best I managed was making a par code that lets you equip any weapon to garret.

 So to say the least is there any more guides or methods about how to pinpoint values and other such things in rom hacking, it would seem sega genesis guides are in short supply! Any info or advice would be appreciated  and thanks in advance.
