I used SMB Utility to make my SMB1 hack, every level from 1-1 to 8-4 has been edited including all of the bonus areas. It's otherwise entirely finished, but I'm still having a problem though...

The Warp Zone in 1-2 always activates 4-2's warp zone (the one with world 5) even though the numbers 2, 3, and 4 still pop up when playing the game. I've used all of the features including the warp zone feature, and it says worlds 2, 3, and 4 in the "Edit Some Game Stuff" section. (It even shows it as 2, 3, and 4 when actually playing the game), but going down the pipes take you to the equivalent of what's supposed to be in 4-2 (-1, 5, -1) instead of 1-2. Both of 4-2's warp zones still take Mario to the correct world.

If you need to look at the hack in the editor, I'll post the IPS Patch (don't edit it for me though)

Thank you!  Smiley

EDIT: I just noticed the Newbie board was in the ROM hacking category instead of the General category! If this topic belongs there, can someone move it please?

It sounds like the pointers for the warp zones in 1-2 were changed (despite what the onscreen text says). If you know what the default values are (or where they are located) for those war zones, maybe you can use a hex editor, go to the offset and change the values in your hack.

I've never used the SMB utility or hacked SMB, but I don't see why that wouldn't work.
