I know this is not the place to ask for others to do work for me but does anyone know a place to request for help?

It really depends on what you're planning to do and how you present your case. Some people aren't given help because they make it sound like they will be doing little to no actual work, or have high expectations for a project but aren't willing to study up on how they can actually pull such work off themselves, yet they want the project done their way and try to order those who possess the skills they seek, etc.

If you could provide a little more detail, for example, which game you're planning to hack, and what all you want to do with it, if you already have that much worked out, you might find the help you need right here, or it will at least be easier to refer you to someone and/or someplace that can better help you. :beer:

In my experience friendship gets you more help than dreams of some kind of professional advantage, at least where money is not involved.
