(Just realized I should've posted this to the "n00b" board instead...)

I'm likely gunna get trawl'd to hell and back just for posting this. But that other title-screens thread FlashPV had going gave me hope maybe this place might be a little more open. So yeah, you all know the game Seiken Densetsu 3, yeah I know the fan-applied title of "Secret of Mana 2" is "wrong," but they referred to it this way in Nintendo Power and the Ogopogo Examiner when it was mentioned and _believed_ to be getting a stateside release:

Amidst the anger and vigilantism over "protecting Niel's work," Dragonsbretheren was nice enough to grab the title screen out of a German patch and turn that into an ips patch. It looked pretty decent, although a bit blurry with some letters being somewhat difficult to make out, and I tried to be happy with that, but lately I was poking around and thought _maybe_ I could try using DB's ips file to try and find the graphics  since that might have less to hafta look through than the rom, and then switch them out with what I made in Photoshop... I've tried every Tile program I could find and they still confuse me, I can totally see why you guys hate just being asked to do this stuff by people like me, it's like a massive fuzz puzzle. The only thing I've found that shows me anything resembling graphics is VSNES:



But VSNES doesn't let me edit like TileLayerPro or TileMolestor
(which I still can't figure out how to get anything visible in yet).

I used an overlap of the title to make sure it would all fit in the alotted space...

I don't want to argue with people and I don't want people thinking I'm trying to "trash Neil's beautiful hard work," I just want to figure out how the hell to do this stuff. I read that the graphics are "compressed," is there any way to figure out the compression to make it visible enough for me that I can actually see it and mess with it, and how do you guys actually convert your graphics to piece them into patches? I tried loading a gif in TileMolestor and it looked even more fuzzy than the IPS file.

Again, I don't want a fight... I just want help, if there is any.

I tried going to Terminus's forum, and they had some pretty friendly
people there, but none of them were able to help. Though FlashPV did
supply some grid tile examples (wish I had saved those before it 404'd).

Through Google I found out that a person by the name of Magno had created a utility to make editing SD3 easier, is this guy still around and where can I get that tool?
