I'm trying to rip FFV's underwater tiles without Mode7 on. That means I'll have to walk under water, or rip them directly from the rom.
Anyone know the offset for the underwater tiles?
Anyone know of a cheat to walk under water?
Anyone know how to disable Mode7?

Snes9x can disable mode 7 by pressing one of the #keys on top of the keyboard if I remember right.

You could just rip them from a savestate...

Yes, this is by far the quickest and easiest way to rip some specific graphics on the SNES. I'd probably use VSNES on the savestate.

I recommand taking a savestate with ZSNES and use the program BGMapper .177 (older versions don't support mode 7 tiles).
