I'm trying to record spell animations for my own reasons, I don't want to rip them.
To do so, I need to disable certain BG's; however, the spell animations and the character animations are all tied together under one BG.
I have successfully deleted all the character battle-sprites. I can now record the spell animations and not have to worry about editing out the FF5 characters.
There is one thing however, and this is my question.

Does anyone know where the little bracket-like things are located in the rom? The "bracket-like things" are what blink over the character in a battle, it signifies that players turn. I'm looking for the offset so I can remove it. I looked using 2BPP GB which is what SNES roms normally use for two colors, like text and the such. I couldn't find it, so I also tried 4BPP SNES but had no luck.
I've tried to remove the colors through the use of SNESPal by Yousei, I couldn't locate the colors. I think it cycles a gradient of black and white.

With no real help at all, you could try looking through 3BPP mode.  I seem to remember TileLayer Pro having it, but not YY-CHR--for whatever that's worth Smiley
