And a hint for you. If you know Japanese and I can't say you do... I have this game and in the very beginning you can actually choose the language between Chinese and Japanese. I bet  Jap would be easy to work with...

It's quite rare but possible to find these days. Yamatoku sometimes posts it as a lot.

If it's your first project and it seems like it is - look for the docs around. You can't ask for a tool for a specific untranslated game as most likely there are none.

Just as a side question, I was always under the impression that Condor Heroes was Chinese in origin? Not to be nit picky, but we just had a discussion based on translating games from native languages to secondary languages, and using secondary languages as a source for a third language translation (in this case Chinese-Japanese-English). On the whole wouldn't it be better to work with the game in its original language, and find a translator? Particularly considering you have said game already?

I have no clue if the Japanese translation was added after, worked on independently, came first etc. This is all just working theory, as I have no knowledge of the game.

I think it was a parallel work. And guys - they're Eagle Shooting Heroes - that's quite an old Chinese legend. There are NO condors in China.

I'm sorry it was semi-rhetorical, I knew the legend's origin, but thank you for the answer about parallel work; also I refuse to say Eagle-Shooting, come on, Condor just sounds better!

Edit: After thinking about it, I prefer Eagle-Shooting Hero, so what the heck!

If you've found the graphics for the two lower left stats, they read:

攻撃力 - Attack Power
防御力 - Defense Power. (actually, this is Chinese, so the hanzi are probably different for this one. Prolly means the same thing.)
