Hi, i use fceux to open the game Kage( shadow of the ninja), i open the pallet editor and i write down the positions of the numbers and the letters in hex code in notepad to make a table, i then use thingy2001 dos version i give in my rom and my table, it all works, but i thought words would show up , i want to replace the japanese writing with the english words but i dont know how, i try searching for words but it cant find them, how do you go about translating a japanese rom?
this games has kanji and its used only for the beginning and the ending, so the letters and numbers are used for other stuff, how do you change the kanji into letters? this is a graphic hack , the kanji,s take more then one box space, how do you code this?
