Hi guys, I have planned to make a spanish translation of SOR Saga (Megadrive at the moment, but I have in mind do the SMS and GG games too)

well, at first, I begun translating SOR2 but I have 1 problem (And as I can see in the other posts, everyone has it XD) I have the text translated, the spanish characters added, and all that stuff, but, the problem is: I can't find the text pointers. I try some methods like the hex with the same values, the equation, etc... But I don't have luck Sad

Other possibility is learn how to translate using ASM, but the information of megadrive hacking it's hard to find. All of it is for SNES or NES.

If there's someone can help me with that?

Well, thanks for your help and for your time

PD: Now I'm working, later I'll update some screenshots

Talks about the two main types of pointers.

In Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, the text used 32 bit pointers which are big endian.  In other words, the offset to the text is reversed.

For example, if the text started at 050460, the pointer would be stored as 600405, which you would search for in a hex editor.

Genesis uses a big-endian processor, which means you don't reverse the byte order.
