A long time ago, I somehow acquired the full translation of the Japanese-only SNES game, POWER Lode Runner. I don't know a lick of Japanese, but the text I have is a genuine article without the help of Google Translator. How I came to acquire it, I forget. It was around five years ago and probably is a bit of a long story anyway. It's basically been collecting dust on my external file system while giving me mean looks every other week.
Having herniated over the MOTHER3 translation for those two years, I know what a big deal a proper translation and localization of an unreleased game can be. This makes me all the more guilty about having literally sat on this text for what has been nearly four/five years now. I'd really like to get this off of my conscious, yet I'm far too pressed for time with other projects to just hop in and hack well enough for the game to remain playable.
So who would like it?
While I'm very proud of the polished localization I wrote for the game, I simply can't do anything with it. I've made and remade plenty of English graphics, I had a friend map out the ROM's tables, but it's pretty much an impassé no matter how enthusiastic I am about it. I'd happily pass on what resources I've made to anyone who would put them to better use.
Seriously, any takers?
