Topic: Want to translate a DS game, how do we do it? (Read 1 times)

So, me and my friends have this project of translating Final Fantasy IV DS form english to portuguese, he know programming in general, but he doesn't have any experience with DS hacking (some NES and SNES it seems).
Can anyone point me to some tips, tools and other utilities to this project?

Unpack the ROM with ndstool (or one of it's various frontends) and then just work on the individual files like you would on any other console too.
