Anyone has or knows where to get an English font that looks similar to the SFC Goemon Japanese font?

Try something like comic sans, bolded.

While I don't have a specific suggestion, check out the selection at Blambot. They have a lot of high quality comic style fonts, many of which are free for some uses.
