Well I've been reading up on SNES ASM and it doesn't seem TOO different from 6502. A lot of the overall logic and it has a lot of commands that the 6502 has. Now, with NES I'm used to working with FCEUltra which has real time debugging, a tracer and a debugger. What programs would you recommend I use for tracing and debugging on the SNES?

There's only two debugging emulators worth mentioning. Geiger's SNES9x and bsnes.

I personally use Geiger's because it's what I've been using for years. I haven't checked out the bsnes debugger yet.

Well I tried Geiger's and got "The application failed to start because the configuration is incorrect" or something, not sure what that's about. But I'll try the bsnes one.

Are you by chance using a 64-bit OS?

That's actually a known bug with Geiger's debugger. Install this and it should work.
