Possible is everything. U have to find the file where that text is stored and just change the words inside that one or replace the file if they are graphics.
If i have a little time tonight, i will take a look at the rom.

So...for the series " one way or another" (se Maometto non va alla montagna...) here u have the opposite effect on this game.
It takes the japanese audio and puts them on a european rom (and maybe usa rom too)
If somebody need the usa version undubbed, just put the usa rom on the place of the european but name it Eu.nds anyway (untested but will work 99% sure).

I don't know if there was some censorships on the european / usa version of the games (if somebody know, let us know) but anyway this tool just change the movie and the audio of this game so if the censored parts are outside of the movie, this tool will not revert them.

It works the same way of the tool u used, just use 2 fresh roms (not patched or altered).
I just made this in some spare time and it's not fully tested so i await feedback from u.

so the easy way is not working...back to square one.

I belive u will not really get an answer from the look at that tread...
it's looking like there was many people poking around with the rom to get to that solution and probably they don't have interest in make the changes u want.

Or u get somebody giving a look by tracing and make some changes at asm level or by just replacing the sprites in the file.
The problem is to browse the files "easy" way to find the image u need and then replace it over the japanese image.
I was able to find the text on the game (it's encrypted and i used some chinese tool to decrypt it) but not the subtitles of the movies.

I will go abroad for 2 months soon, maybe u got a solution by then or i will give it another try when i will be back.

there are some file in the 2 roms (jap and eur) that are same dimention but they are not the same, not even the executable is the same + there are crypted files on the rom.
if u don't know some asm, i dubt that u will find a solution.
It's probably just a problem of pointers but just by exchanging the file in the rom u will not get anywhere.

A different font?? I would say that then u should get at least some garbage and not "No Data" as subtitle. As for the timing, i think u maybe have to correct it but should not be the problem either...but everything is possible.
If it's really a problem with the font for not show the subtitles, maybe it has something to do with the byte just below the pic of the fond (the UTF-8/Unicode/Shift-jis selection) on the tutorial site below.

Anyway i answer u your PM in here because it could be of interest to other people that want to decrypt .txrc/.arc/.bin files because there are other games out there that use the same method of Suikoden.

This is to decrypt /view the text in the files gd_textres01_xxx.txrc (and maybe some others) in Suikoden and Love Plus (maybe some other games too).

I read the italian tread, U are misunderstanding something..
re-timing that was done to do the undub hack is not the same re-timing they/u are talking about. There is a difference on length of the audio (number of voice samples) between the jap and europe version..that was fixed on the patch.
The re-timing u are talking / the jap guy and Mentz are talking about is just the timing when the character move their lips and u hear the audio.

If u are can view the font of the game, try to check if there are less symbols/letters in the european version of the font (i dubt it but let's try to be sure).
