I'm having problems finding any programs to allow me to hack nds text and information on it is scarce. Could you suggest a tool to allow me to do it and give me a quick tutorial on what to do?

The DS isn't much different from any other consoles (if you don't consider the hardware, of course). The basic rules for hacking are really the same as always.

The only noteworthy difference (and it's not a difference at all if you've hacked games for disc-based systems) is the fact that NDS ROMs contain a full file system. For best results, use ndstool to unpack the ROM like a glorified zip file and zip it back up when you're done hacking.
