I finally got around to finishing this, thanks to several people who were kind enough to translate the japanese text for me:



This is a 100% complete translation of
Juuryoku Soukou Metal Storm, which is the japanese
release of the game called "Metal Storm" in North America.

The japanese version has a cinematic intro and text during
the final boss fight. The difficulty is also slightly higher
and the game has radically different color palettes.

Wow, sweet!

I hate to do this when you just released the patch, but there's not enough time for me to read some of the text.

I have a tip.

1:8164:B1 3D     LDA ($3D),Y @ $936A = #$AA
01:8166:85 43     STA $0043 = #$00

Patch updated to v1.01 (Link is the same). I read really fast so it didn't occur to me that it may be too brief.

Changes

v1.01

Increased intro screen duration for easier reading.

Switched all palettes to USA versions, except for the first
boss (Gets a color for it in a very odd manner).

Thanks a lot for this release, but I'd prefer to have a version with the original Japanese colors ... (I never could stand the colors in the US version).

Maybe you could provide us with an alternative version allowing people like me to choose the color palette ?

yea i dont like the change of palette, id rather play the original version with just english text.
