Topic: Romancing SaGa 2 Translation (Read 1 times)

I've recently become a bit of a fan of the Saga games and have been gradually collecting them. Naturally I downloaded the ROMs of those that were only released in Japan (RS 2 & 3), but I couldn't find a translation for RS2. I did some more digging and noticed that Aeon Genesis was doing a translation of it, and now am basically wondering how that's coming. Once it's translated, that means that all 9 SaGa games will be playable in English...which seems important.

Well, if someone hasn't picked it up two years from now, I may be able to help then. Hopefully someone will, I really want to see this game. |

Check your privmsgs.
Unfortunately, due to the whack-ass way the game deals with its dictionary, such strings are *not* in the dump. They're mostly dialect suffixes, though.

this hurts badly  when i noticed this topic i tought that some new and good news were coming along... i guess i'll just have to stay, wait and hope  by the way i even proposed a fund-raising for this project but nobody's interested to take it even for pay  well i guess that the games yet to be translated are not so much now... so RS2 will get his change someday |

It might not be "oh hell yeah I'm translating this RIGHT NOW, see you in 3 weeks, COMPLETED PATCH", but some interest is still good news if you're even vaguely optimistic.
