Yeah, there were only a few games that worked with it without too many errors (I'm fairy certain I did some work with one of the Mega Man games, I know there is at least one Metroid II color patch)

Just played around with them, MM1 crashes, MM2's sprites disappear, MM3 suffers almost no problems except that your palette no longer shifts while charging (Not too bad, you can still hear it at least). What is annoying me now are the palettes, I ported the NES palettes nearly perfectly, but they display terrible in the emulator with "Gameboy Colors" enabled. It'd be nice if the program displayed the colors as they'd appear on the hardware...

Which version are you using? I have a version 3.4 which works with a shitload more ROMs than the one that's available on the website. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to redistribute it though.

You mean 2.4 right? I mislabeled that folder when I distributed it. Um, I think you guys should host it here. Cause if I hadn't rescued that thing it may  have been gone forever. Best to put it on a website. BTW, this version isn't made by the original author of gbcolorizer. He didnt even know about it until I showed it to him.

I'm using verison 2.3, I'll have to try 2.4 and see if it works with the other games. You should submit it to the site (And submit it to my inbox Wink )

I'll let you write the description and stuff since you are gonna be using it anyway. Here is a link to its download.

Is there any reason you're STILL distributing the file with a 3.4 in the filename when it's 2.4?  Roll Eyes I apologize if there is a logical explanation for this.

I'm not distributing it anymore, I mostly keep it in my online files so it won't get lost again should something happen to my computer.

GBcolorizer is the only one I've personally seen, and that one has lots of problems even with the MBC1 ROMS it claims to support.  Development on it just ended abruptly, from what I could find, with no hope of any future updates.

You are indeed correct. I had the privilege of being in contact with Blind Tom for most of the early work on GBColorizer; he even liked my Metroid II colorization enough to include it with the program's distribution. Unfortunately, like you said, all of a sudden the guy just up and VANISHES. And I mean, poof, gone. Never went onto his IM again, never updated his page again, and never replied to any emails either. It was like all of a sudden the guy just ceased to exist. Eventually Geocities removed his page from lack of use, and the program along with it. I've tried to find the guy since then, but with no luck.

It's been years since then, and yet... were he to pop up with a new version, I could jump right into it and start colorizing again. *sigh* We all have dreams, I guess.

Thanks for keeping it for us I had to go check and see what version I had of it, I have version 2.3 and 1.0, not 2.4.
Some where I had made a color version of bugs crazy castle, but I think I lost it and it didn't look that good either.
I might try it again now, but since I got a fast computer I haven't had much interest in coloring gb Roms,
Because I use visualboy advance and it plays everthing in color anyway.
