If you're a noob or a Non-Profrossional ROM-Hacker I have a list of reasons. Becuase I actaully used it with the .SMC file with the most recent version of M3 Workshop.

1] There are 9 headers instead of 13 in the editor.

2] The level offsets were 4 bytes behind the ACTUAL offset after hex FF. NOT BEFORE.

3] The level offsets were incorrect. However Hukka proberly used the MI3 Source instead of by hand. That's why I corrected those offsets in my document in my site or ROM-Hacking dot net.

4] STILL with the NES backgrounds. It dosent matter because I didn't even find the graphic and TSA data yet?

5] Whenever I edit the level, I'm not sure it really sucessfully edit the level or not.

6] Missing level headers won't allow you to change the backgrounds or other stuff. Those kind of stuff can be used with the Hex Editor only.

7] The ***Unknown**** level offsets somehow still the NES level offsets.

Those are my reasons. If you have any more reasons please add.

And believe me. I hacked SMB3 for SMAS way more than anyone else.

If you don't like it, then why use it?

There's a way to point out bugs or errors in a program, and this isn't it.

It's the Super NES of the Game I'm talking about. And even Mario 3 Improvement is started all this.

I'm better off editing by hex than the editor unless I'm using to edit the NES and not the Super NES.

To quote a man with my same name: If you don't like it, then why use it? Doesn't matter what version of the game you're talking about- coming here and complaining about it isn't going to help anyone.

I'm not really into hacking SNES games, but then again I remember that SMW demo I released. *smacks head*

But yeah, to me SMB3W is the best SMB3 level editor out there now. If it wasn't for that editor I wouldn't of even touched SMB3. There's other editors I really can't get into, mostly it's because they're DOS based and I don't like working with DOS. I can't remember if hukka was gonna update it though...

Yeah, SMB3WS works best for the NES because they have more infomation than the Super NES. I personally WILL use SMB3WS for the NES versions of SMB3 only. But when it comes to Super NES, it becomes more and more less information it can find. If you really expected to edit the backgrounds, palette data, Graphics Routine, or some other stuff that wasn't in the NES version. Then the HEX EDITOR is the other choice for the Super NES version of SMB3. I don't think there are any other SMB3 Editors for the Super NES but I wish I could learn some programming so I could make corrections for the SNES part in SMB3WS and add "The lost levels" that wasn't in the editor. I may want to learn how to create ExGFX in SMB3 since the graphics themselves in SNES version wasnt good.

But I don't really know about the SMB2 discombobulator or Trans. I never even hacked SMB2USA yet and a few peices missing in the editor as well for the Super NES.

EDIT: I have NO idea when Hukka is going to release his source code so I could make some changes in the editor that was not supposed to be in the SNES version.
