Second, RTDM. I was a newbie once (and still pretty much am) and got told the same thing. You gotta learn your basics. Getting Started

Learn Hexadecimal. Download a hex editor geared towards romhacking. Learn to make tables. Then you should be able to edit text. That's as far as I'm going to go.

And be lucky, because I'm probably one of the nicer people to answer this around here. You could get much worse treatment. =P
