Gideon, did you plan on releasing this so that people could read it at another place? I was going to save it all and read it at home, but when I did, the background didn't come up, and a bunch of random code was at the top. O.o

Due to the restructuring of the Aeon Genesis website, the document has moved and can now be found here. I've updated the initial post to reflect the change, as well, but figured I'd post it for people who were used to the old link.

Hey, it could always just be the Romhacking Book of Gideon.
Something like
"The Romhacking Bible. Book of Gideon. Chapter 3. versus 21-29"? Cheesy
Makes it quotable as a scholarly reference Wink

But the font was used in Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia, and RoboTrek. And nobody complained about those. Cheesy
(yes, it's probably because they updated the font routine in those games)

Actually, yes, that's it exactly. They [for some reason] didn't change Terranigma into an 8x16 [from a 16x16] font, so...

It's actually 16x12.

Nice walkthrough so far.  Very hands on.  I like it.

Exhaustive conversation aside, my virus scanner (AVG) keeps telling me that the copy of YY-chr.exe linked from the document is the trojan GENERIC.EUI.  Can anyone confirm this or do I just have an overly sensitive scanner.

It's not a trojan. AVG flags it as one on mine too. Didn't Kitsune or someone say they told this to the author?

Please use AntiVir or Avast; they both update more frequently than everyone else, ISTR. I don't know if their algorithm's any better, but... *shrug*

Antivir reports the same problem. I've complained several times but they don't care. And Avast is just trash.
