It looks interesting, does this insert the proper license file etc. ?
What would be nice is that if it would also give a 'image' or view of what it plans to do once you 'push the big red button'.
For example what sectors will have what in them in terms of Directory Structure etc.

I assume it will make / the base root of the directory you pass it (ISO root directory record pointer in the volume descriptor section).
Do you add to the system section "PLAYSTATION" and other information to the volume descriptor?

And how does it deal with the XA files?

Nifty as hell. Finally something to replace that stupid and complicated buildcd/stripiso combo.

I'm wondering about the XA support as well.

Things I'd like:

Config file support that lets you order the files and directories on the disc (in a hack, I'd prefer to keep the files in their original physical order), maybe also have an option to specify starting LBA for each file, specifically for those rare games (like Vagrant Story) that are empty in the middle of the disc.

Dump support-- take a disc or ISO image and dump the contents into a directory, and takes measures to extract XA data properly.

A library so that I (and perhaps others) could implement its functionality into a custom patcher.

PS- I would love it if you could write a similar tool for PS2 DVD. Cheesy

I think Nero makes those cd's also. That or alcohol 120. But it's nice to have a dedicated program for it. Just like Lunar ips. Instead of getting a program that does lots of things its nice to have one that does the one thing and thus isnt' complicated to navigate.

You cannot get valid ISO9660 images with PSX CDs. For one thing, ISO9660 is 2048 bytes per sector, whereas PSX CDs are 2352 bytes per sector, so calling this an "ISO maker" is a misnomer.

I hate to rain on parades, but I wanted to head off user stupidity before it happened.

Just try the program. Burn image on CD and test it on real PSX, ant then tell here that isnt work. Cheesy

I'm not saying it doesn't work, I'm saying it does not produce valid ISO9660 images and therefore cannot be considered an ISO maker.

Way to misinterpret my words, sir.

Its not the point what is called, right ? It could be even called "PsOne super extra creator deluxe for crazy maniax". The point is:can it work and is it useable.

Im just surprised that the "good" name of this app is so important for someone...

It's not a good name, actually. It's misleading because of the issue I raised. I'd have no problems with something that billed itself as a PSX image maker.
