From the other topic:

While we are at it, anybody wanna play with these?

The red string says "Persona 2". Each image should use no more than 256 colors.

Well, I played around with it and came up with this
Same color palette as the original

That looks really nice. Cheesy I have only one request: is it possible to have the word Persona all in capital letters? I like the style of the official US logo. If you could use a similar font, too, you'd make me very happy. Kiss

What's the format of that file anyways Gemini? (the file type as inserted into the game, I know it's some sort of special movie file)

It's not a movie. Just plain images drawn in succession. Tongue

Hey, maybe you could get a rip of the logo as used in Persona 2? >_>

This one is using the logo type "ripped" from American Persona 2 EP.. (well, emulation screenshot)
trying to keep the font distressed looking without it becoming too busy with the white border and all..not quite sure about all that.

Is the logo as it appears in the final menu a different image than all of these?

Personally, I don't like it that much at all... It's just too pixelized for my likings... Some smoothing on the edges? And I would have it spell the japanese out in the shadow as well... You know,.. if I could draw Wink

Now that you mention it, yeah, it looks a bit pixelized. I also noticed another problem with part of the title drawn using the wave effect: most of the transparent spots aren't transparent anymore. :/ Can anybody fix that?

You could probably fix that using a PNG chunk editor, such as TweakPNG.

I had covered over some of that so the text would be easier to read.. it was coming out pretty busy with the distressed font and all .. but I can add that back in.
The original logo does this a bit too.. though it has less problems with it since it has less letters, cleaner font.. I'll bring some of it back in

Yeah, I'll see what I can do about cleaning up the text, the font isn't really suited to having a border like that and to a certain extent is meant to look all "cracked"/distressed .. so I was debating how much I should clean it up (mentioned it a bit in the post)

Are you thinking mostly of the text or the background when you talk about it being pixelated?

What do you mean by having the japanese text in the shadow?

Well, notice how it says Persona in the shadow though the actual characters are ペルソナ. I think it would be really neat if it was switched for the english version, so it spells Persona in Latin script and the shadow is japanese. That would probably also look better since then more free space would be there to be transparent.

It's a lot of work though :-/

Why not make a new logo altogether? I mean, within limits. All that image editing will be a pain, it would probably be better to make new graphics that resemble the original.
