@Aerdan:   I think that anyone with the experience of workign with title screens, or making pixel art wouldn't be scared off.

@Talbain:   I agree it would look awesome, pretty, and thats what i was going to do with it, but as Satsu has stated, he wants it to conform with the Anime series title.

@Vincel:   Go ahead.

as to the Eternal going behind the Filena, it looks strange to me, Its makes the Eternal look less important, but its in Caps, wich just seems.... weird.
I'll go grab some one that hasn't seen the iterations of the screen yet and get there opinion, to see what they think.

well i showed this to quite a few people now, as its been quite awhile since this topic has been updated.

also yea. double post.

most people said they like the Eternal above Filena rather then behind. so i'm just stickign with that.

not until you put less spacing between the letters in ETERNAL Tongue

iirc, even the concept picture satsu sent you has it that way.

From...

...to...

Slightly messy, the outlines aren't exactly outlines, it's missing some details/touches compared to the Japanese original, but hell, it's pretty much my first serious attemp at making a title screen... and I'm kinda proud of it because of that and despite my own opinion on it... or so. Whatever. Any comments or advice? Smiley

As you pointed out, the outline is a bit sluggish atm, so you should go over it and fix it, it's gonna look much better then.

And maybe you can bring the little paddle in again as well, like for the i in Kururin or something so it has that in there as well Smiley (of course, a more center position for it would be better...)

ooh, nice! i like the font. the bottom edge of the title (where the gold meets the blue propeller) had noticeable jaggies, though.

the best way to do this, imo, is to make the image in photoshop or something, though. the letters had a slight shadow underneath them and a slight highlight on top, giving them a 3D sort of look. the blue outline conforms to the shape of the letters and had a slight shadow as well. same for the gold outline. by making the text at a high resolution and then simply copying, pasting, and enlarging it, you can make the outlines pretty easily. it might help if you use a slightly bolder version of the font for the outline. adding the shading might be a bit difficult, but at least the shape will be right.

as for the little shapes in the title... you might want to dot the i in Paradise with a star, like the "da" in the katakana. the hat is a bit awkward, but maybe it could fit on the final e? the propeller is even more awkward... the dot on the i in Kururin, maybe? or on the upper-right corner of the P in Paradise, just like the katakana (but not serving an actual purpose, unlike the katakana).

http://www.fonts500.com/ This Web site has some nice fonts that could be used for Title screens.

Is there a place where you can download a BUNCH of fonts instead of just one by one?

Your imaaaginaaatioon...

No, um, actually, I don't know if there is or not. I know there are various specialty websites, but none that I know of that are compounded downloads...

This one is perfect to me. I don't know why it needs to be changed.

This design seems to flow the best; it stays organized, colorful, and just makes the most logical sense from an artists standpoint. It blends too well to be discarded in my opinion.

There's the slight problem with it seeming to be read from right to left, but it still looks way better than all the other versions so I say go with it.

it's about 75.4x better than the rectangle with cursive combination.
