Despite having played this on every version of Super Mario Advance, this rendition is actually pretty fun.

I have a couple of small complaints, though:

 - The sprites are partially transparent, and it looks somewhat odd to see parts of the background where the white in Mario's eyes should be. Maybe this was intentional, though.

 - While I like the font, it's sometimes hard to read. It almost feels like I'm reading another language. It may just be the combination of colors throwing me off.

I'm aware of the transparency problem. But I had to choose between this or making the characters with more colors... And NES is well-known by it's limited pallette, so I chose to make it colorful.

The font is hard to read indeed, but I like it. It's chaotic and make it looks like a kid wrote the sentences. But I will try to create soon a better version of that font.

By the way, version 1.1 of New New New New Mario Bros is online. What's new: Mario's nervous way of running is not that frenetic anymore.

Request: if you ever get the free time, it would be cool if you recycled some of the custom sprites you did and use them in a Super Mario Bros. graphics hack. That would be quite awesome.
