Okay, which of these graphics would you like to see used for Silence in The FF6 Hack?   And just for reference, here are the original graphics used in FF3us and FF6:   Vote, dammit. |

The Silence one is more professional. I like internet abbreviations as much as the next guy, but that second one is not only less distracting, it's downright classy.

It can only be "Silence". Anything else and you've taken a significant step towards making your hack into a joke project. It's too good to turn it into a joke, unless you really, really want to. It's your hack, not anyone else's, but I wouldn't play an FF6 hack that put the "STFU" animation in.

Although "STFU!" is tempting, it probably wouldnt stand the famous "test of time", and if the patch should live long, that particular pop/internet culture reference may be datet, and it would not make much sense. And the "Silence" graphics looks amazing too! |

I simply cannot vote... I love the STFU one... It gives it a sort of comic relief... But Silence is more professional... Then again... Status inducing spells aren't (in my opinion) very useful... ... ... Specially Silence...

You know, you could try to tie it into the RNG, and make the "STFU" icon appear every 1 in 16 times or so. That's be a neat compromise!

Ooh, I like that! Normally it's "Silence" but occasionally you might get lucky and get a "STFU!" Which of course begs the question...are there any other spells you could do something like that for? |

... I don't remember the FF6 spells well but... Sleep - "NYQUIL MO'FO!"  Poison - "Poisson!" With a fish underneath. Heh... Eh... Those are two I can think from the top of my head... |
