If this is not the place to ask, please, by all means, point me in the right direction.

I recently acquired the U64 Rom of "Killer Instinct."  It seems to be a direct rip of the data files used in the arcade version.  I've been trying to find the audio, both SFX and music, to the game but haven't been able to find the arcade version's files until now.  Is it possible, regardless of file format, to extract such things from these files?

Thanks in advance,
C

If it's there than it's possible.  Tongue
Is it going to be easy, probably not!

Also forgot to add:  What normally is the CHD file was converted to an IMG file to be able to be read by the emulator.  That can be reversed, yeah?

Use M1.

As for how to convert the IMG to CHD, I have no clue, but you can probably use MAME's CHDMan.

M1 seems to not like the fact that I run a PC and not a Mac.

Funny you should say that, I'm a Windows XP user and I've used M1 for the past two years.

Edit:
Here, since you can't seem to find the files.

Nevermind.  I'm a loser.  I found M1 for Windows.  Tryin' it now.

As nice as it is, I'm trying to actually extract the files.

Frontends should have a "Save to WAV" option. I know a Japanese frontend had it.

Mind pointing me in the direction of a good MAME frontend for that?  I can handle Japanese.
